Tues. Jan. 1: " 'A Happy New Year.'  No school to-day all home & had our own dinner I am about the same the boys chored around John Weir brought us down a qr. of Beef & Mother & Edd cut it up. & at night Marion,  Edd, Hazel, Marjory, James & John C. all went in the car over to a Rook party at Will Beveridges & it is a cold windy winters day but the car did'nt freeze up it was nearly zero in places."

            Wed. Jan. 2: "It was a winters night cold 16º below zero at Argyle. In the morning Edd took the girls down to school at Argyle in his car and in the afternoon he chored around and a Chiropractor Doctor of Glens Falls came here go give me a treatment and he did I thought. It is a winters day pretty good sleighing around here George McKernon was here awhile."

            Thur. Jan. 3: "The children went to school Edd chored around and it is a cloudy day rained & frooze as it came pretty good sleighing now icy too. Streever Randles was over here awhile I am about the same. At night Edd & Marion went down to West Hebron to a dance & mother kept the babe."

            Fri. Jan. 4: "about noon Marion took Florence & the babe & Mother & I down to Clayton Kinneys we met a Thumping Doctor there & he worked on me to no avail we got home about 2 oClock & Edd took his car & went out to Hudson Falls & got his License for his car & got our License for the Nash car and it is a cloudy & cool winters day looks like snow. at night the boys & Lizzie & Edd & Marion went down to Argyle to a basket Ball & brought home the school girls Mother kept the babe."

            Sat. Jan. 5: "The boys & Edd chored around and it snowed about all day it came right down part of the day. Harry & his folks came over before noon & stayed for dinner & He & I got straightened up for helping last Fall on the barn stable & Muley cow was sick & we doctored her up & put her in the new stable and it must of snowed 6 inches I guess enough for nice sleighing"

            Sun. Jan. 6: "We did'nt go to church any of us so we stayed at home but Marion, Edd & the babe went down to his home in the car. The milk went in the car. it is Winters weather now. I am around the house but can't get out to do any chores."

            Mon. Jan. 7: "In the morning Marion & James took Hazel & Marjory down to school at Argyle and got back a little after Nine O'clock and Edd chores around & drawed some manure to the lower place & I sent my Town taxes with Edd to John Liddles and it is a cloudy & windy day snowed a little it drifted in places & at night Edd started for West Hebron & got stuck in a snow drift & came back home"

            Tues. Jan. 8: "The chiropractor Dr came to day to see me and Edd drawed some manure down to the lower place. and chored around and it is a cloudy day & in the morning Harry came over & they Doctored the old cow. and I am about the same my shoulder is fearful lame & hurts fierce if I move my arm much."

            Wed. Jan. 9: "I am about the same Dr Stillman came along & stopped awhile he told me I was getting along as well as could be expected In the afternoon Marion took Edds Horse down to his house & Edd took his car & brought Marion & the babe home in his car got home chore time and it is a beautiful day looks like Spring weather. It is good sleighing around here."

            Thur. Jan. 10: "I am about the same In the forenoon Fred Millers boy came up & got 2 old cows we had & took them down for Hen meat & the Doctor came to see me from Glens Falls & in the afternoon Edd went over to Harrys & helped him and it is a peach of a day it is a Spring like day it thawed some but good wheeling or sleighing. Dr came to see me to day."

            Fri. Jan. 11: "The school children got wet through going to school in the morning. We had a heavy shower. It rained a lot in the night the snow is nearly gone it is a warm day but cleared off about night & got cooler In the afternoon Harrys folks were over here & Edd went down to Argyle & got Hazel & Marjory it is muddy going I am about the same."

            Sat. Jan. 12: "Edd & the boys chored around & drawed some manure down to the other place. and it is cooler to day the snow & ice is nearly gone. The Doctor came to day to see me and it is pleasant some windy quite a cold wind."

            Sun. Jan. 13: "Marion, Hazel, Marjory, James, Mary E. & Florence went to church in the car & they heard a sermon by Mr Mr. McEachron and they stayed for sunday school. & Mother kept the babe & me & John C & Oliver stayed at home & kept house and it is a nice warm day for Mid winter & not very cold it thawed quite a lot."

            Mon. Jan. 14: "In the morning Marion & Florence took the girls down to Argyle to school and got back before noon & Edd went over to Harrys & helped him to chop & saw wood all day and I am in the house and about the same. and it is a nice day to work not very cold & Pleasant our folks washed."

            Tues. Jan. 15: "In the morning after the boys helped to do the chore Edd went over & helped Harry to cut wood all day and I am about the same sat around the house all day but feel good It is a nice pleasant day for the time of year at night Edd went down to Argyle to a shooting match and it is fine weather for winter. My Doctor came to day."

            Wed. Jan. 16: "In the forenoon after the boys got the chores done Edd went over & helped Harry cut wood all day quite windy and in the afternoon it rained some rather nasty It is a warm day & cloudy rained some."

            Thur. Jan. 17: "In the morning after the boys got the chores done Edd went over & helped Harry to chop all day and my Doctor came to day & I am about the same and it is nice weather for winter and our folks washed the bed clothes and it is a nice day The milk check came to day. The Dr came to day to see me"

            Fri. Jan. 18: "I am about the same I guess Mr Greene the seed man came along about noon & Eat a lunch I ordered 2 bu of Silo corn of him at $3 per bu. and just after noon Edd was helping Harry to cut wood & he cut his Knee & came to the house it bled pretty bad. and it is a nice day. at night we all went down to Argyle to a basket ball game Edd & Marion took the babe down to his home & left her & came back to Argyle & we got home rather late. I was no worse as I know of."

            Sat. Jan. 19: "The boys drawed manure down to the lower place & Edd did'nt do much in the afternoon He & Marion went down to his house & Hazel took Mother & I over to see Billy Liddle he has Gangrene in his foot. and it snowed a little but melted as it came but after night it snowed some and it is a warm day & rather muddy nice winter weather. The Dr came to see me to day."

            Sun. Jan. 20: "We all went to church & we heard a sermon by Mr. McEachron and we stayed for sunday school I felt very good it was pretty good going we went in the car. and it is a nice day only cloudy & very muddy the snow went I think it must of rained in the night it cleared off before night & got colder Lawrence & his Wife & babe came down awhile & talked to his Mother out to Glens Falls on the phone. at night Edd, Marion & the babe came home"

            Mon. Jan. 21: "The boys helped to do the chores & then went to school and it is a terrible cold & windy morning it seems colder as it has been so mild & warm of late. Edds knee is rather stiff. At noon he took Hazel down to Argyle to attend Regents Ex. at noon in the car it is getting colder all the time I guess Terrible wind at night it was zero here"

            Tues. Jan. 22: "It was cold in the morning the coldest yet The boys helped to do the chores and then went to school & at noon Edd took James down to Argyle to school to try the examination in the car and got back before night and it is some windy to day & cold too  boys are cutting wood for us 10 cord at 2.50 per cold Ashton Cornell & Willie Guitar they came up here for dinner it is a cold day to chop. The Doctor came to day."

            Wed. Jan. 23: "The boys helped to do the chores and then went to school & it is not very cold this morning The boys chopped wood to day as they were up here for dinner it is a nice day some windy but a nice winters day in the afternoon Marion, Marjory, the babe & Florence went down to Argyle in the car after Hazel they got home early and it is a nice day squally but did'nt snow much."

            Thur. Jan. 24: "In the morning the boys helped to do the chores & then went to school to the Examinations & Oliver was sick at school & came home at noon and Hazel took Marjory down to Argyle to try the examination in the afternoon & got back before night and I am around the house and it is a cloudy & not very cold  The boys cut wood"

            Fri. Jan. 25: "The ground is white it snowed about 8 inches last night & in the morning it was raining a little crust on the snow & it is a very cloudy day looked black like rain but did'nt it thawed a little & made a crust on the snow the wind got up but the snow did'nt drift any on account of the crust on the snow. it was black enough for a Thunder shower about night. Hazel took the school children down in the car to the exa's in the morning Edd went after them at night in his car. not very cold day."

            Sat. Jan. 26: "James drawed some manure down to the other place the other boys chored around & helped James to load up and it is cold & very windy kept getting colder all day in the windows are all frosty at night it was about zero & wind blowing a terrible gale it is a terible night no mistake way below zero in places it is bad weather for me or my disease we are all at home to night."

            Sun. Jan. 27: "We did'nt go to no church to day so we all stayed at home and kept house it is a terrible cold & windy day we are having Winter weather now alright cold & enough snow for good sleighing when it gets beat down   The milk did'nt go to day it was to  cold.  pleasant part of the day but cold."

            Mon. Jan. 28: "The boys are sick or have been all of them kind of a Dysentary they all have about the same & Florence is sick to day we had the Dr for her she is sick & vomiting like the boys James & Lizzie went to school the rest stayed & Hazel & Marjory rode down with Dr Stillman to Argyle to school. it is a cloudy day & looks like snow cold but not windy to-day."

            Tues. Jan. 29: "The boys are better but John C & Oliver stayed at home Florence is better too. The Dr came to see me to-day. & Edd loaded up a grist & took it down to West Hebron & got it ground and got the team shawd and did'nt get home till night & The boys got the chores done."

            Wed. Jan. 30: "The boys all went to school again and they helped to do the chores and I am not feeling very good to day am taking the childrens disease I guess & it is a cloudy day & Edd took the team down to the lower place & began drawing wood & he drawed some out of the woods & left it at the bottom of the field to top out a load and the sleighing is about gone on the roads in places The Dr came to see me to-day."

            Thur. Jan. 31: "In the forenoon Edd went down & drawed wood from up in the wood to along the road on the lower place and the wood choppers cut wood to day down there I am about the same In the afternoon Harry & his folks came over awhile and it is a nice pleasant day the women folks washed to day. Marions babe was sick in the afternoon and at night too."

            Fri. Feb. 1: "The boys helped to do the chores and then all went to school and Edd went down to the lower place & drawed wood down to the road from the woods & the boys are chopping wood down in the woods yet Ashton Cornell & Willie Cadarr and it is a nice day only cloudy & looks like a storm the sleighing is about gone The babe was better to day at night Marion & Edd went down to Argyle to a Fair in the Hall & brought home Hazel & Marjory and it is a nice day."  

            Sat. Feb. 2: "In the forenoon Edd & James took the team down to the lower place & drawed wood down out of the woods & brought up a load at noon & in the afternoon they got 1 load & it came on snow & they put the team in & the girls went down by Cossayuna to David Moores girls funeral and got back early but it snowed quite a lot it is helping the sleighing."

            Sun. Feb. 3: "Marion & Edd & the babe went over to Kenneth & Lydias a visiting & the rest of us all stayed at home and kept house and it a cloudy day & quite cold too. They got home after the boys had the chores all done and it is a cloudy day & cool too."

            Mon. Feb. 4: "In the morning Marion took the girls down to Argyle to school and got back in a short time & Mother & Edd cut up the qr. of Beef. and in the afternoon Edd took the team & went down to the woods & drawed some wood to the road and it snowed some now & then all day about and it is a cloudy & cool day"

            Tues. Feb. 5: "In the forenoon Edd took the team & sleigh down to the lower place & drawed down some wood & brought up a load of wood to the house and it snowed a lot too. It is a cloudy day & rained & frooze as it came but there is a crust on the snow sharp ice at night Hazel & Marjory came home from school with Ralph Weir & we all went down down to Clayton Barkleys to a church social we went in the car it snowed some Edd & Marion took the babe down to Garrys & left her to night. A big turn out"

            Wed. Feb. 6: "The girls rode down to school with Ralph Weir & our children all went to school It is a stormy day after dinner Edd went down to the other place & got a load of wood & I think took down a load of manure Harry is getting ready to cut ice   It is a cloudy & stormy day the sleighing is pretty good now."

            Thur. Feb. 7: "Edd & Marion went down to his folks & seen the babe but left her. and The Dr came to day and Everett & Margaret came up to see me to day & stayed a while and James came home at Recess & took the team & bob sleighs & went down to Argyle & got the school girls and Edd took his car & got stuck & brought home his horse & cutter but left the babe they was late in getting the chores done they did'nt get home very early. good sleighing now and it is a cloudy day but warm & thawed some & snowed some"

            Fri. Feb. 8: "There is no school to day in Town so the children were all home Edd & James hitched up King & the grey mare & drawed up some wood from the lower place to the house & drawed back some manure they make quite a team about night Edd took Marion, Hazel & Marjory down to Argyle with his Horse & our cutter & took the bus for Cambridge as the girls played Basket Ball & boy did too & they did'nt get home very easy & it is a nice pleasant day the trees are loaded with ice & snow also but the snow is blowing off to-day some it is been getting colder all day & quite cold at night about 10º above zero at dark & getting colder Harry & Rob Smith are cutting ice these days  about 10 in of ice."

            Sat. Feb. 9: "Edd & James drawed wood from down on the lower place up to the house and chored around and the Dr came to day to see me the childrens colds are better to day I am about the same."

            Sun. Feb. 10: "There was no church to our church to day so we all stayed at home & kept house but Edd & Marion went down to Garrys & got the babe & it is a stormy day & nasty too it is good sleighing now"

            Mon. Feb. 11: "In the morning Edd took the girls down to Argyle to school with his horse & when he came back he put up a grist & in the afternoon he took it down to West Hebron & got it ground & back home and it is a nice pleasant day but cold the children all went to school but Oliver he is about sick with a cold fine sleighing it drifted some in places the milk man goes in a car."

            Tues. Feb. 12: "The boys drawed the ice & packed it all but 10 cakes  300 cakes we got James & John C & Willie Cadarr packed it & Wm Crosier also & Ashton Cornell drawed with Ralph McGeochs team & Claud Smith drew with Harrys team & Edd drew with our team they drew 14 loads & it is a good day to draw ice cold & not very windy it is good sleighing & cold winter weather."

            Wed. Feb. 13: "Edd put some saw dust on the ice and took a load of manure down on the lower place & went over to the lake & got 12 cakes of ice to fill out a tier in the ice house and chored around & it is a nice day but clear & a cold winters day & fine sleighing Oliver stayed at home & the rest all went to school & the sick cow died to day front Heifer"

            Thur. Feb. 14: "In the forenoon Edd put some more sawdust on the ice and chored around and it is a nice day only cold & cloudy wintery weather Edd got the dead cow out of the stable & snaked her on top of the hill up in the fallow."

            Fri. Feb. 15: "In the forenoon Edd put the rest of the saw dust on the ice & chored around and in the afternoon Edd hitched up King on the cutter & went down to Argyle & got the girls & got home about dark and he went good and it is a nasty day but cleared off after noon awhile & was a nice afternoon & Clarence Lant was over awhile and it was mild & fine sleighing."

            Sat. Feb. 16: "Ed & James drawed down to the other place from the woods & brought up a load at noon & in the afternoon they took the other team & drawed wood up to the house & it is a cold Winters day but fine sleighing They have got the most of the wood up to the house."

            Sun. Feb. 17: "There was no service at our church as the Pastor was sick with a hard cold so we all stayed at home & kept house & done the chores but in the afternoon we went over to Harrys in the big sleighs & stayed awhile & it is a cold day but pleasant & clear. I am about the same the children have colds."

            Mon. Feb. 18: "In the morning Edd took the milk for Harry down to Salem he took Buster & King & got back after noon awhile & after he ate his dinner he went down to the other place & got a load of wood & brought it up to the house and it is a Winters day & fine sleighing Harry is getting his ice House cleaned out the saw dust I am about the same nearly 'frozen up'  "

            Tues. Feb. 19: "In the morning Edd took the milk for Harry again with the same team and before he got back Harry got his foot sawed into in bad shape & they took him out to Glens Falls Hospital and Edd went over to the lake  got 2 load of ice for Harry & Oliver stayed at home to day he has a pain on his side & is about sick with a cold I guess I am about the same the Dr came to day to see me."

            Wed. Feb. 20: "It is a stormy day Oliver & James Stayed at home Oliver has a bad cold & is in bad pain now & then & about night we went down & got the Dr. & he said he had the Plurisy & bob Smith went after him with Ned & Edd took him home with King & brought Hazel & Marjory Oliver was in offle pain till the Dr came & he gave him something that relieved him & he rested very good through the night In the afternoon Edd went down to West Hebron to Will Bristols Auction & on account of the storm it was postponed It is a very nasty storm & it blowed & drifted nearly all day."

            Thur. Feb. 21: "In the forenoon the Dr. came up to see Oliver he seems better not in so much pain & rest very good but very sick yet   Edd chored around the other boys went to school. In the afternoon Edd took the team & went over to draw ice for Harry he is (or Bob is for him) having a bee to get his ice up. It is pleasant but blustry & the snow is blowing not very cold but getting colder fine sleighing."

            Fri. Feb. 22: "In the morning the Doctor came up to see Oliver the Dr thinks Oliver is doing well he is in no pain now with his side but it is hard work for him to cough & raise much pheglem and in the forenoon Edd went over to Harrys & put in a load of ice &  went  down to the lower place & got a load of wood & James took the Grey mare & took Hazel down to Argyle & left her & at night He John C & Marjory went down to Argyle to a school Exhibition & brought Hazel home with them & Edd & Marion went also they left the babe over with Nettie & it is a nice pleasant pleasant day but don't thaw any it is zero in places every morning it is good winter weather."

            Sat. Feb. 23: "In the morning the Dr came up to see Oliver he thinks he is holding his own one lung is affected some & Edd went down & got some wood at the lower place and he has it all up now that is cut and James & John C put up a grist & done the noon chores and in the afternoon Edd took the axe & went up in the old orchard & cut some apple tree wood & the boys took a grist down to West Hebron & got it back home & got King shawd and it is a nice day only cold good winter Weather."

            Sun. Feb. 24: "We did'nt go to church to day the Dr came up in the morning to see Oliver and he thinks he is doing well his side don't pain him much now but it is very hard work for him to cough & raise any.  Edd & Marion & the babe went down to his folks all day. It is a nice pleasant day but cold in the shade it is clear Spring like day only lots of sleighing & snow too it don't thaw even in the sun. at night Edd & Marion came home but left the babe down to Garrys."

            Mon. Feb. 25: "The Dr was sick & could'nt because he was sick but we think Oliver is doing very well we think he is holding his own I am feeling about the same In the forenoon Edd cut some apple tree wood up in the old orchard and in the afternoon Edd drawed some manure down to the other place and it is a peach of a day pleasant but don't thaw much & cool nights fine sleighing."

            Tues. Feb. 26: "The Dr did'nt come up to see Oliver to-day on account of being sick himself in the forenoon Edd cut some apple tree wood up in the old orchard  and in the afternoon he drew some manure down to the lower place It is a nother nice day warm & pleasant. we think Oliver is doing very good the Dr don't come. but he sends him medicine fine sleighing"

            Wed. Feb. 27: "In the forenoon we got a man down to Argyle to take the girls Horse & bring the Dr up to see Oliver & he thinks he is doing very well but he has a fever yet. and in the morning the girls drove a horse & cutter down to school & left him in Bert Mixs barn and Edd went to Will Bristols Auction at West Hebron and it is a beautiful day it acts like Spring to day cool nights yet & a nice lot of snow & fine sleighing   The Black cow had a calf Heifer."

            Thur. Feb. 28: "Oliver rested very good last night and it is a nother nice day pleasant & warm the snow packed some to day & fine sleighing In the morning the dr drove up to see Oliver and he thinks he is doing very good but he still has a fever In the afternoon, Edd went up to Lawrence Williamsons Auction and it is a nice day & in the forenoon Nettie sent over after a horse to drive down to Argyle on business in the morning   the girls drove King down to school & left him in Bert Mixes barn"

            Fri. Feb. 29: "In the morning the Dr came up to see Oliver and he is doing very well & John Smith came up & he & Edd cut apple tree wood up in the orchard cross cut it & got done at night up there and it is a nice pleasant day but cool nights the girls drove Ned down to school and at night Edd & Marion were away some where I am about the same"

            Sat. Mar. 1: "John Smith came up & helped Edd to cut a Maple tree down along the woods by the swamp & it took them all day the boys drew some manure down on the lower place and in the morning the Dr came up to see Oliver & he is about the same he feels pretty well in the day time but so good at night It is a beautiful day cool nights In the forenoon a Man & his Wife from Belcher came down to see me about working the farm but we did'nt make any trade. Mr. & Mrs. Palmer. I am about the same. they said they would be back Next Monday. to see us again. At night Edd & Marion went down to Clayton Barklys. Ema Barkly & Harrys woman came up to see Oliver"

            Sun. Mar. 2: "We did'nt go to church any of us. In the morning the Dr was up to see Oliver & he thinks he is some better Edd & Marion went down to his folks and got the babe & brought her home and it is a nice pleasant day I rode over to Harrys & seen one of his heifers she was sick & Guy Guthrie brought up Mary to see Oliver & stayed awhile"

            Mon. Mar. 3: "The Dr came to see Oliver in the Morning he thinks he is getting along nicely only slow I am about the same and Edd drawed up the rest of the cord wood to the house some apple tree wood from up in the orchard & a maple tree down below the swamp we have it all up now. the sleighing is getting thin in places it is warm in the middle of the day Two men came here to get the farm to work on shares but we did'nt make any trade to-day"

            Tues. Mar. 4: "The Dr did'nt come up to Oliver to day But he seems to be doing well Edd is about sick to day he chored around and it acts like Spring now nice shine & pleasant & the snow is wasteing too  I am about the same the girls went to school to day & drove a sleigh not very good sleighing"

            Wed. Mar. 5: "The Dr came up to day to see Oliver & he thinks he is on the gain now he seems to feel pretty good day times only he coughs a lot & hard too & a man & Woman came here to get the place to Work on shares & I let him have the place to Work on halves he mooves into the lower house he intends to moove Saturday some wagons are going now."

            Thur. Mar. 6: "Dr. Stillman did'nt come up to see Oliver we think he is doing well. but my Dr came to see me to day it is a nice day it acts like spring. George Bussing came up to see me & paid his Interest & Harry came over awhile his foot is doing well he thinks Charley came over in the morning & got Ned horse to go with the milk Edd chored around the girls went to school with Ralph Weir to day the sleighing is getting poor in places."

            Fri. Mar. 7: "The Dr came up to see Oliver in the morning and he says he is on the gain now he seems to feel very good & looks better I think It snowed nearly all afternoon Hazel went to school with Ralph Weir & Marjory stayed at home to day it  is wet as rain most a nasty afternoon Edd went over to help Harry with his car."

            Sat. Mar. 8: "In the Morning Willet Gillis came to saw wood & John Smith came up & he & Edd handed the wood on & James took the team up to Belcher to Moove Mr Palmer & his Family down to the other house and they took the team & went up & got another load of mooving & the wood men did'nt quite done at night & it is a nice day thawed some & acts like spring the Dr came to see me but Stillman did'nt come to see Oliver he is doing very well he acts better."

            Sun. Mar. 9: "In the morning Marion & the babe & Edd went down to his house & stayed all day & the Dr came up to see Oliver he thinks he is doing very well & we did'nt go to church the man Mr Palmer got mooved into the house yesterday & stayed for the first night last night. It is a nice day."

            Mon. Mar. 10: "The girls drove down to school to day In the morning Willett came back & finished sawing the wood John Smith came up & he & Edd handed on the wood & John & Edd spilt wood the rest of the day it did'nt take long to saw the rest of it Oliver is getting along nicely now & I am doing very well too. It is a nice day thawed quite a lot."

            Tues. Mar. 11: "In the morning the girls drove to school and the Dr came up to see Oliver & he thinks he getting along nicely & the other Dr came to see me and Edd went down home he took his cutter & brought home his car and it is a nice pleasant day our man is cutting his wood & took the team to draw up some wood."

            Wed. Mar. 12: "The girls drove to school and Edd went down home and it is a very windy day & cold too a March day alright Oliver is getting along very well the Dr did'nt come to day Our man cut some wood for himself  I think they helped the boys to do the chores."

            Thur. Mar. 13: "The women washed to day Marion helped to wash & about noon her the babe & Edd went down to Argyle to an Auction & did'nt get back very early The Dr came up to see Oliver & he said he's doing well & he thought is would'nt be worth while for him to come back unless Oliver got worse & he did'nt think he would."

            Fri. Mar. 14: "The girls drove to school & Edd went down home or some place else he did'nt come home at night Oliver is getting along very well Mr. Palmer cut wood I guess school was out early. & it is a nice pleasant day it thawed a lot but is cold nights."          

            Sat. Mar. 15: "It is a cloudy & snowy blustery day Mr. Palmer drawed some manure down to the lower place & brought back some wood for himself and Edd came home at night & Oliver is doing well and it is a blustery day."

            Sun. Mar. 16: "In the morning Edd, Marion & the babe went down to his folks to stay I guess. We did'nt go to church so we all stayed at home & kept house. it is a cold morning winter yet. Oliver is about the same and a nice day some cloudy."

            Mon. Mar. 17: "The girls drove to school to day & the other school children went to school down here at the Island and Oliver seems to feel very good & Mr Palmer & the boys draw manure & wood & chored around & I am about the same   nice spring weather the Milk check came to day."

            Tues. Mar. 18: "The girls went to school they drove down to day and Mother washed some to day & Mr. McEachron came up in the afternoon to see Oliver. & it is a nice spring day only very muddy It is good sap weather nice days & freezes at nights Oliver sits up & is up around dressed he eats with us at the table but his temperature keeps up"

            Wed. Mar. 19: "In the morning the girls drove to School & the other children went to school & Oliver is about the same he is up around with his clothes on and comes to the table & eats with us at the table but lays down & Sleeps awhile after dinner & it is a nice day."

            Thur. Mar. 20: "the girls drove to school to day and Oliver is about the same his temperature is high yet but he seems to feel very good  my Dr came to day it is poor traveling now but nice spring weather the frost is going out in places now"

            Fri. Mar. 21: "Hazel & Harold got the car ready & Mother got Oliver ready & they got him in the car & took him out to Glens Falls Hospital the Dr thought he was'nt getting along as he ought to & they ought to take him out there & have an exray taken to see if any water was gathering around the lung they got him out in good shape I guess he stood the trip very well Harry went with him & Mother stayed out there with him Hazel & James got home before night awhile the roads were fierce to Argyle but from there out they were good they got a new shoe & tube put on out there but it was flat when they got home."

            Sat. Mar. 22: "We heard from Oliver in the morning & before night by Mother & she says he is doing nicely & feels good & we are getting along very well the boys split wood at the door most of the day& got a good start & it thawed a lot the snow is getting thin now In the afternoon Edd & Marion & Garry came up Garry took Marions cow down to their place & Edd & Marion stayed all night."

            Sun. Mar. 23: "In the morning I telephoned down to Rob Smith if he could take some of us out to to see Oliver & his Mother & he said yes & after noon a little he came up & Marjory, Florence, John C & I went out to Glens Falls & seen Oliver he seems to feel pretty good we got home about dark the roads are fierce around here but nice from Argyle out. the rest stayed at home at night Edd & Marion went down home his car is not working very good It is a pleasant day but cool north wind."

            Mon. Mar. 24: "Mother telephoned out & told us that Oliver is doing nicely he feels good. Hazel & Marjory stayed at home to day & done the work and James stayed at home also It is a nice pleasant day. Mr Palmer is sick & the boys help his boys to do the chores & one of his boys help James to split wood at the door."

            Tues. Mar. 25: "Hazel & Marjory & James stayed at home & helped to care for me. Mother telephoned out before noon that Oliver was feeling good & that the Dr tried to draw some fluid of his lung but filed to get any but he still feels very good thought we could bring him home in a few days Marion & the babe came up to day Edd got a calf & went back home & took Mary his Sister she came up with Marion she & the babe are going to stay to night with us."

            Wed. Mar. 26: "The girls washed to day and James stayed at home from school and in the afternoon James took Marion & the babe down to Argyle and we heard from Oliver by Mother he is about the same and I keep about the same and it is a nice day acts like spring James done some errands at Argyle he got some gas & oil"

            Thur. Mar. 27: "The dist. school children all went to school to day and we heard from Oliver by Mother he is just about the same he feels very good but his temperature is about as high as ever  It is a nice day Spring like weather Mother thinks her & Oliver will come home to morrow."

            Fri. Mar. 28: "All of the school school children stayed at home from school to day and Mother & Oliver got home about noon a man from Glens Falls brought them home in a Taxi it was warm in there as in a house. Oliver is feeling good but has a fever yet. It is a windy day but not very cold Mr Palmers boy & James drawed manure"

            Sat. Mar. 29: "The boys drawed some manure and Oliver feels pretty good he sat out on the steps awhile and it was a nice forenoon but in the afternoon it got cloudy & rained before night"

            Sun. Mar. 30: "In the morning and in the night we had a heavy Thunder shower sharp lightening & rained a lot also We all stayed at home & did'nt go to church Everett & Mary came up to see Oliver & later Edd & Marion & the babe came up Oliver is feeling pretty good to day it is a cloudy day & getting cooler   cold at night"

            Mon. Mar. 31: "It frooze hard last night & is a cold day the girls went to school down to Argyle & drove down the other children stayed at home Mr Palmer drew hay from the lower Farm & put it up in the Horse barn & James helped to onload and Oliver is feeling very good he went out on the steps to day awhile and at night there was a milk meeting at the school house   Fred Darfler took the job of carrying the milk for one year. and it is a cool day & before night it began snowing & at night         part of this is for Tuesday by a mistake        at night Clayton & Mary came up awhile."

            Tues. Apr. 1: "Pleasant in the forenoon but in the afternoon it got cloudy & began snowing it came right down the men or boys drawed some manure & Mr. Palmer patched up the Hay rack he is getting ready to draw hay Oliver is feeling pretty good but his fever is with him yet. and it acts like winter again it was snowing right down at night Walter Lant came over awhile and I am feeling pretty good."

            Wed. Apr. 2: "It snowed last night & is still snowing it is nearly 15 inches deep the children all stayed at home to-day it is pretty hard going the milk went on Sleighs by here. Oliver feels very good & is about the same Mr Palmer went up to Belcher in the road cart & the boys chored around."

            Thur. Apr. 3: "The snowed waisted a lot to day Hazel & Marjory went to school & drove King & took a wagon lots of snow but nearly all wagons on the roads. Oliver is about the same he was out on the steps awhile once in the forenoon & again in the afternoon and it is a nice day cool air & cold last night."

            Fri. Apr. 4: "Hazel & Marjory went to school & drove King but the other school children did'nt go on account of the Measels and it is a beautiful day the snow melted a lot Oliver was out on the steps twice to-day and he is feeling pretty good to day   Mr & Mrs Palmer went down to Argyle & got some wall paper"

            Sat. Apr. 5: "Mr Palmer put on his paper to day and Oliver was out on the steps to-day 2 times and it is a nice day Oliver is feeling very good to day and we sat around the house the snow is most gone Mr Palmers folks went up to Belcher   I am about the same."

            Sun. Apr. 6: "It is a cloudy day and began raining before night & rained a lot   at night Edwin Gilchrist came down & brought some thing for Oliver from the church and it is a cloudy day Oliver has a bad day he coughs a lot. I think he must of caught a cold yesterday"

            Mon. Apr. 7: "It was a nasty stormy day snowed most of the time & melted a lot Harry was over & got his old Truck & took it over to his house ready for the Auction   Oliver is about the same he feels very good & I am about the same  Mr Palmer is papering his house not very cold but it looks like winter again as the ground is all covered with the white mantle. the school children all stayed at home."

            Tues. Apr. 8: "Harry put his Auction over a week as it was snowing so hard & it is a nasty stormy day melted a lot & terrible roads   Oliver is about the same. I think his temperature is going down a little terrible weather for the time of year but not very cold but looks like winter"

            Wed. Apr. 9: "Mr Palmer is working on his house papering the rooms and in the afternoon keith his boy & James took two teams down to Argyle & Met a Truck load of cow feed from Fort Edward He didnd get there till late & they didnt get home till bed time & the roads were fierce & dark & raining they had a terrible time in getting home the roads are bad. Oliver is about the same"

            Thur. Apr. 10: "The snow is about gone as it rained a lot last night. Oliver put in a bad night coughed nearly all night but feels better to day. James is helping Keif to draw manure all day to day  it is a nice pleasant day."

            Fri. Apr. 11: "Oliver is about the same and James & Keith drawed manure on the hill cross from the barn and it is a nice day Oliver is about the same he goes on the stoop & sets there awhile most every day. the snow is about gone."

            Sat. Apr. 12: "Oliver is about the same his temperature keeps up In the forenoon James & Keif went down to Argyle & got 2 small loads of saw dust & in the afternoon the put it on the ice in the ice bin and it is a cloudy day & windy rained at night some but warm"

            Sun. Apr. 13: "We didnt go to church to day. Harry took me over to Billy Liddle and he is not getting along very well Oliver is about the Same his temperature is going down Slowly and in the afternoon Harry Barkly came up to see Oliver he thinks he is doing very well it rained some at night."

            Mon. Apr. 14: "It is a nice pleasant day windy though Oliver put in a bad night he coughed all night long about & did'nt get much sleep Mother did'nt get much sleep but he seems better through the day & his temperature is about normal to-day"

            Tues. Apr. 15: "It was the day of Harrys Auction it is a nice pleasant day E mary Sister came up to see Oliver in the afternoon & stayed all afternoon and he is some better we think   he don't cough quite so hard & raises more   it acts like spring to day."

            Wed. Apr. 16: "Mr Palmer worked at his hen house and James & John C sorted potatoes down cellar There was no school to day down to the Island & Hazel & Marjory don't go to Argyle this week on account of catching the Measels and in the afternoon Mother went down to Garry McEachrons to see Marion she has the Measels but is getting along very well & Harry came over & brought his Battery & put it in the nash car & Hazel took us all down to Argyle & A man from Glens Falls brought us out a new battery & we got it & sent the shoe out with him and it is a nice pleasant day  Oliver coughs alot but his temperature is coming down."

            Thur. Apr. 17: "There was school down to the Island to day & the children all went to school & the rest of us all went down to Argyle & on down to Garrys & seen Marion she is doing pretty well and Oliver was tired when he got back home but he was no worse for his ride I don't think   it is a nice day   we think Marjory is coming down with the Measels."

            Fri. Apr. 18: "It is a rainy day but did'nt rain very hard Marjory is sick with measels & Mary E. is about sick with something It is a nasty day Edd came up & got a calf of Mr. Palmer The Dr was up to see Oliver & he thinks he is doing well He rests very good nights now."

            Sat. Apr. 19: "Mr Palmer took one rig & went to Hartford & the rest of the folks went up to Belcher and we all stayed at home & Marjory is broken out in great shape with the Measels to day. but I don't think Mary E has the Measels we keep all of the children home from school now & it was a nice day but got cloudy & looked like rain before night the boys sorted potatoes I helped some."

            Sun. Apr. 20: "We all stayed at home & kept house & took care of the children Mary E is better to day & Marjory has the measels but is getting along very well she is broken out in good shape it is a nasty day it snowed some & turned to rain Oliver & I are doing very well we think."

            Mon. Apr. 21: "Mr. Palmer began plowing for the first down on the McAuley farm for oats in the long field he drawed manure in the afternoon and Hazel gave Oliver & I, James, John C & Florence a ride in the car down as far as Thomas Macks & back home the roads were fierce muddy & rough. & it is a nice pleasant day clear. & warm Marjory is getting better."

            Tues. Apr. 22: "The boys and I sorted some potatoes and it is a rainy day nasty time it rained a lot it Thundered in the forenoon a big rain grass begins to look green but it is a cool rain Oliver is about the same Mary E is better & has no measels I guess. Marjory is in bed yet but is better."

            Wed. Apr. 23: "big rain last night wet time In the forenoon James & John C took the old Truck wagon down to Norm Goulds to get the houd repaired and Mr Palmer drawed some hay and in the afternoon he plowed and the boys and I sorted potatoes and it is a cloudy day & cool too  Marjory is getting over the Measels & Mary E. I guess has'nt got them yet."

            Thur. Apr. 24: "The boys and I sorted some potatoes and in the afternoon we all went down to Argyle for a ride in the car and went on down to see Marion & the babe They are getting along nicely over the Measels and Oliver was tired when we got home."

            Fri. Apr. 25: "The boys and I sorted potatoes part of the day and Marjory is getting over the Measels & Oliver is getting along very well now and I am pretty lame & sore on account of sorting potatoes I think we are getting the potatoes nearly sorted It is a nice pleasant day it acts like spring Mr Palmer plowed with 2 teams down on the other place"

            Sat. Apr. 26: "The boys and I sorted potatoes & Mother helped us some we finished them all sorted they must be nearly 500 bu we think & John C has been in bed nearly all day we think he is taken the Measels & at James did'nt feel very good Now Hazel she is about sick I think they are all coming down with the Measels. Oliver is doing very well now but he coughs a lot. I am pretty sore & stiff."

            Sun. Apr. 27: "We did'nt go to church all stayed at home & took care of the sick folks and they are not very sick they are not very sick but keep in bed all the time it makes it very hard for Mother to take care of them & Oliver & me to but we are doing pretty well. Marion, Edd & the babe came up to day & Clifton Day came over to see me"

            Mon. Apr. 28: "Mr Palmer sowed his Oats to day or his Brother did for him and there was 8 acres he also finished plowing for oats down there. and it is the warmest day that we have had The Doctor was up to see the sick folks he thinks Hazel, John C & James are all coming down with the measels. Hazel is pretty sick. Oliver is getting along very well."

            Tues. Apr. 29: "Mr Palmer & his help worked at the oats down on the other place & drawed some stone of the field they got them all sowed to day but not quite all dragged in Hazel, Florence & James & John C all are having the measels and Oliver was out walking at the barn he is getting along pretty well I guess. It is a nice day pleasant & warm to, it acts like spring to day the roads are drying up fast now."

            Wed. Apr. 30: "It is cloudy & looks like rain in the Morning the Dr came up to see the Sick folks they are all breaking out to-day we think Oliver is taking the Measels to day. he looks like breaking out. Hazel is pretty sick but broken out pretty good."

            Thur. May 1: "The children all have the measels & Oliver is coming down to day Mary E don't show much signs yet of Measels. The Dr came up in the morning to see the children they are nearly all broken out now It is a nasty time it is a rainy day"

            Fri. May 2: "The children are setting up some to-day. Harrys folks came over about night & stayed for supper it is another wet day part of the day it is a very backward time Mr Palmer has the oats all sowed I believe"

            Sat. May 3: "It is a pretty cloudy day the children set up most of them part of the time. Oliver is getting along very well now Mary E. is taking the measels we think it is a wet time"

            Sun. May 4: "We did'nt go to church any of us so we all stayed at home & took care of the children Mary E. has the Measels she is the last one to take them she is getting very well. Marion, & Edd & the babe came up to day & stayed till night It is a cloudy day but clearing off."

            Mon. May 5: "Mr. Palmers folks finished rolling the oats & worked around and our folks are doing very well Mary E. is about well.  Oliver is getting better. the women folks done the washing to day it is a nice day to work cool"

            Tues. May 6: "It rained a lot last night it is a wet time no mistake The men worked at plowing etc the children have nearly gotten over the Measels and in the afternoon we all took a ride down to Argyle the roads are very rough & mudy & rough. Oliver is doing very well now it is some warmer."

            Wed. May 7: "In the forenoon Mr Palmers men folks worked at putting his oats in up at Will Mahaffys and we had an early dinner & Mother & Hazel took our car out to Glens Falls to get cleaned up & a new Horn put on & Mother drove King down to Argyle & left him & Hazel took the car from here & Mother rode out from Argyle with Hazel & they came home to Argyle in the Buss from Fort Edward & came down from Glens Falls in the Electric car and got home before night and I went up on top of the hill back of the barn & traveled around. for exercise I was rather sore at night"

            Thur. May 8: "The school children all went to school again but Mary E. & Oliver   Hazel & Marjory drive King on a wagon and in the afternoon I rode over to see Billy with Grourman & made him quite visit he is very low he is in bad shape also & getting weaker I came back across & was about all in when I got home Marion & the babe & Mrs McEachron drove Edds car up in the afternoon & got some things It is a nice pleasant & clear day only very windy & the wind is cool too."

            Fri. May 9: "The children all went to school but Oliver & Mary E. and it is rather cloudy & windy too.  I am rather still & sore after my walk over to see Billy it is a windy day the wind is in the north & it is a cold day but cleared off warm in the sun Mr. Palmer plowed up in the orchard and drawed manure with one team and it is cool & wet backward spring no mistake"

            Sat. May 10: "It rained a lot last night & in the afternoon we had dinner early & Mother & Hazel took King & the wagon & left him at Argyle & went on the Buss out to Fort Edward & took the Electric car & went up to Glens Falls & got the car & brought it home it works very good now & got home in good season I partly cleared off & the boys helped me to clear out the back house we put it out alone the hog pen & dug a hole & burried it and Mr. Palmer plowed up in the orchard for corn"

            Sun. May 11: "We did'nt go to church to day and after dinner we all went down to see Marion & the babe at Garrys & went in the car and we got home before night awhile & then Hazel took James, Mother & I over to see Billy he don't seem to get along very well he is pretty low and it began raining before night again & it is a very wet time no mistake"

            Mon. May 12: "It rained some last night the children all (but Oliver) went to school to day Hazel & Marjory took the car to day down to Argyle school it is very nasty now too. The men came to day & got the Beef cow to day in a Truck car."

            Tues. May 13: "Hazel & Marjory drove down to school to day to school & the others but Oliver went to school down here and he & Florence play around here in the yard and it is cloudy & looks like rain a very wet time after school was out the boys & I put up part of a load of potatoes in bags."

            Wed. May 14: "The girls drove the car down to Argyle to school to day and the rest all but Oliver went to school down here and it is a nice warm day a strong East wind & at night we had a shower & it rained hard & a lot too a very wet time & Mr Palmer is plowing down on the lower place for potatoes in the pine tree field by the road & spreading manure also. Oliver & Florence are tearing around   after school is out the boys & I put up some potatoes in bags as we have a load sold to go to morrow South Glens Falls at 75¢ per bu."

            Thur. May 15: "It rained a lot last night and the children all but Oliver went to school to day the girls drove the car to day it is a cool & windy Mr Palmer plowed down on the other place for potatoes in the field by the woods."

            Fri. May 16: "There was no school to day as it was field day the children all met at Argyle we all went down in the car & the boys went with us & Mr Palmers folks went also & we stayed all day and they met in Barkley Hall & had exercises in the forenoon & at noon we went down to the school House & had dinner the district all eat together it was a nice warm day grass grew to day. the roads are rough yet."

            Sat. May 17: "Mr. Palmer plowed all day down in the field along the road on the lower place and in the afternoon the boys & I went down & helped Mr Palmer to burn the rest of the brush around the fence and in the forenoon Hazel went down & got Mr Elliott the Tin smith to come up & fix our cistern pump & put in Eave trough on the barn & put a pump in Mr Palmers well & at noon Harry came over & took a load of potatoes for us to Glens Falls he took 75 bu at 80¢ a bu. to Hoveys and it is a nice pleasant day."

            Sun. May 18: "We did'nt go to church to day and after dinner we took the boys over home at Adamsville to Harrys and it came on rain on our way home & the car went wrong & we had to Telephone back for Harry to trail us in the garage at Argyle & we got repaired   the gas feed got pluged full but got it cleaned out & drove the car home but rather late it rained quite a shower."

            Mon. May 19: "The children all but Oliver went to school to day and the girls took the car, and Mr. Palmer folks finished plowing down at the lower place for potatoes and it is a cool day a good day to work a team Mother washed today at noon Harry came over & loaded up a load of potatoes & took them out to Glens Falls Mr. Palmer & Keith helped us to load them the bags had 2½ bu in."

            Tues. May 20: "The girls drove the car to school to day & the rest of the children (but Oliver) went to school & Mr. Palmers folks drawed manure on the field cross from the barn for corn & I had my Doctor come back to see me to day again my fingers seem to be getting stiff it seems to me"

            Wed. May 21: "The children all (but Oliver) went to school to day and before night awhile we had a hard shower it rained a lot. and Will Hunt's man came up to day & done some repairing to the light plant & Harry came over & got a load of potatoes & took them out to Hovey Fruit Company and it is a fairly nice day some cloudy Mr Palmers folks planted potatoes in the orchard."

            Thur. May 22: "The children all (but Oliver) went to school to day and it is a nice pleasant day but cold & at night we all went down to Edd & Marions & stayed awhile & got back before it was very late but it was cold but the roads are very good My Dr came out to day."

            Fri. May 23: "Harry came over & got a load of potatoes & took them out to Glens Falls 65 bu at 80¢ and the children all but Oliver went to school the girls run the car and Mr Palmer drawed manure Mr Palmers folks planted corn up in the orchard."

            Sat. May 24: "Mr Palmers folks took his Brother away he got through for now and they drawed manure in the forenoon and our boys chored around and fixed a place for some chickens   It is a cloudy day & rained before night."

            Sun. May 25: "Edd & Marion & the babe came up & stayed all day and we did'nt go to church to day & we all stayed at home & visited in the morning Mr Palmer folks all went away & Mr Palmers folks drove the 3 seated wagon but got home before night. & the Milk man got stuck up the road we helped him out it is a nice pleasant day but cold & a very backward spring. & wet also."

            Mon. May 26: "The children all went to school but (Oliver) the girls took the car and Mr Palmers plowed for corn in the field cross from the barn & Mother washed to day & I think Harry came over & got a load of  potatoes & took them out to Glens Falls. It is a nice pleasant day only very windy. & Jen came out to Argyle & came up with the girls and stayed all night"

            Tues. May 27: "The children all but Oliver went to school & my Dr came out to see me & do his work.  In the morning Mother & Florence took King & took Jen down to West Hebron to see her Mothers and left her and it is a nice day but cool Mr Palmer is plowing the field cross from the barn"

            Wed. May 28: "The girls & all the school children but Oliver went to school Mr Palmer is fitting the field cross from the barn for planting corn & at night we all went down to Argyle to an Exhibition & it was a good show &  it is a nice day only we had a shower it rained hard too."

            Thur. May 29: "In the morning Hazel went down to West Hebron & got Jen & then we all went out to Glens Falls but John C & Mary E. & Hazel & Marjory got their Hair bobed and we went over to Harrys & came back to Hudson Falls & got some Flowers & then came home & we got home in good season and it is a cool day for the time of year. Mr Palmer was fitting the field cross from the barn for planting corn It is a nice pleasant day but cool."

            Fri. May 30: "In the forenoon Hazel & Mother went down to the Cemetery & put the flowers on the childrens graves & then came back home and I rode down to Will Crosiers turn & went up to see Billy he is failing all the time and our folks came up & got me & we had dinner & then we all went down to Argyle to attend Memorial services in the Town Hall & afterwards we went down to the school building & seen a ball game between Argyle & Hebron and Argyle won and it is a cloudy dark cold day for the time of year it is a very backward time not many potatoes planted yet or corn either. Mr Palmers took the young cattle down to the other place & turned them out to pasture."

            Sat. May 31: "In the forenoon the boys helped Mr Palmer to plant corn in the field cross from the barn & in the afternoon James went up to John Weirs & helped him to plant corn & John C helped Mr Palmer (& Marjory did some too). to plant corn & got the field all planted. & Harry came out & took a load of potatoes out to Glens Falls to Hovey Fruit Co. and he broke a spring on his way out here & Hazel took him out to Glens Falls in the touring car & got a new spring & he put it in & took the load and it is a nice pleasant day but cold."

            Sun. Jun. 1: "We all went to church and we heard a sermon by Mr Murdock and we stayed for sunday school and after dinner we all went over to see Billy & on down to the Cemetery & watered the flowers & then went down to see Marion & the babe and stayed awhile & then came home and it is a nice day but quite cold."

            Mon. Jun. 2: "Mother washed to day & Harry came over & got a load of potatoes & took them to Mr Sweet of So. Glens Falls at 75¢ per bu. and the children all but Oliver went to school Mr Palmer drawed manure part of the day & plowed the piece down at their place. and it is a nice pleasant day warmer   at night I went over to see Billy  Hazel took me over after school."

            Tues. Jun. 3: "The school children all but Oliver went to school to day and at night Hazel took me over to see Billy & hes is not so well we telephoned over to get Will McNeil to come over & set up with Billy to night. Mr. Palmer drawed manure & began plowing up in the piece in the big side hill, and it is a nice pleasant day"

            Wed. Jun. 4: "In the morning John Liddle came over & got me to go over & stay with his Father through the day & at night our folks came over after me & we all went down to Marions & took her & the babe down to her house & Edd came up & got a load of potatoes & took them out to Glens Falls and Marion & the babe came up & stayed here all day. and the school children all but Oliver went to school & it is a nice pleasant day & warm  it looked like rain at night & did rain a little."

            Thur. Jun. 5: "It was Circus day and we all but Hazel & Marjory went out to Glens Falls to the Circus & Marion & Mary McEachron went with us   Marion drove the car for us & before we got home down by the other place we run out of gas   Hazel & James came up & got some gas & got King & drove down to meet us   we got home before night."

            Fri. Jun. 6: "The children all but Oliver went to school Hazel & Marjory drove the car to Argyle. Mr Palmers folks plowed for corn down above the lower place in the field above the road  and it is a cool day some cloudy & I am stiff & sore to day as I have been in a long time"

Jun. 7: "The boys helped Mr Palmer John C helped to plant corn up on the big side hill & down at his house and James plowed & Keif did also and in the afternoon Hazel took me over to see Billy & I stayed over till night & she took the youngsters all but James & John C over to the church to practice for childrens day & when they came they came home they came over for me   Billy is failing and it is a nice day but cool Wind at night & cooler too"

            Sun. Jun. 8: "We all went over to church and we heard a sermon by a Anti Sloon Lague men from N. Y. and we stayed for sunday school and when we got home Orrie & John Henry & Eva stopped awhile & it is nice & pleasant in the forenoon & in the afternoon it got cloudy & rained some & at night the young folks all but Oliver & Florence went down to West Hebron to a concert at the M. E. church & it cooler at night the rest of us stayed at home & went to bed."

            Mon. Jun. 9: "The children all but Oliver went to school and I am 62 years old to day as it is my  Birthday & I am laid up with Paraliyls was taken last Dec 3. 1923 & not able to do a thing yet & it looks as though I never would be but eat 3 times a day & in no pain to amount to anything. Mother is washing to day."

            Tues. Jun. 10: "The children all but Oliver went to school Hazel & Marjory stayed all night down at Marion & went from there to school in the next morning Mr Palmer finished plowing for this  spring the good is ground is getting dry & hard now in places. My Dr came out to day."

            Wed. Jun. 11: "The children all but Oliver went to school It is examination week down here this week Mr Palmer plowed & got done to day I think finished for corn all done also. It is a nice day some cloudy but a good day to work"

            Thur. Jun. 12: "In the morning Mother, Florence & Oliver & I went down to Marions & stayed all day & Hazel & Marjory took us down when they went to school & came back after us when school was out & we came home with them & Billy Liddle died in the morning we came back by their house when we came home and found out when his funeral is  He is burried to morrow or Saturday June 14 at 2 oclock and it is a cloudy day rained a little in the morning the other children went to school or examination.  we got home before night Mr Palmer dragged the field above his house getting ready to plant."

            Fri. Jun. 13: "It is the last day at our school & Oliver & Florence went   the other girls went to Argyle to school and our folks in the morning made ice cream to take to school as they have a picnic in the afternoon Mr Palmer marked out for corn down in the field above his place."

            Sat. Jun. 14: "In the forenoon Edd & Marion came up & in the afternoon Edd took the youngsters Oliver, John C., Mary E & Florence over to the church to practice for childrens Day & the rest of us went over to Billy Liddles funeral & went down to the cemetery at North Argyle and Harrys folks went with us to the yard & we got back before night & we had supper & then Edd & Marion went home & Harrys folks went down to West Hebron & we went down to Salem & got James a pair of shoes & Oliver got a Suit of clothes & stopped at West Hebron at Marys the Band had a Concert there Harold & Earl stayed all night"

            Sun. Jun. 15: 'We all went to church and it was childrens day the Minister gave a short talk he has a very bad cold & after dinner the we took the boys down to Argyle we intended to meet Harry & let him take the boys home but we didnt make connections so the boys came home with us."

            Mon. Jun. 16: "In the morning Hazel & Marjory took the boys down to Argyle when they went to examination & they got a chance home and Mr Palmer dragged the potato ground at the lower place & the boys sorted a few potatoes & husked some corn in the barn and it is a nice pleasant day very dry."

            Tues. Jun. 17: "& The children all went down to Argyle & Mr Palmers children also went to the regents Examination and Mr Palmers folks are getting ready to plant potatoes down to the other place. and it is a nice day warm & dry too."

            Wed. Jun. 18: "Hazel & Marjory took the children down to Argyle in the forenoon to Examinations and Marion & Mrs. McEachron & Mary McE & Helen came up & in the afternoon James & John C helped Mr Palmer to plant potatoes & Hazel, Mother, Mrs McEachron, Marion & I went over to the church to a Missionary meeting & we got home before night we went down to West Hebron to get a wrench for our Silo"

            Thur. Jun. 19: "James & John C helped Mr Palmer to plant Potatoes down on the other place and his folks all planted it is very dry & warm to day Summer in earnest it is warming up but very dry we need rain very bad"

            Fri. Jun. 20: "James & John C helped Mr Palmer to plant potatoes and about noon we took the boys Dinner down to them & the rest of us went out to Glens Falls in the car & Marion & Mrs. Robert Hall went with us & we got back in good season the women folks done some trading & they have got the field most planted and it is a nice pleasant & warm too only very dry day."

            Sat. Jun. 21: "It rained some or a shower last night the boys helped plant potatoes down in the field for Mr Palmer on the McAuley place & they got done before night awhile all done for this year. It is some cloudy not so hot to day but a fine growing time rained helped some. My Dr came to day."

            Sun. Jun. 22: "We all went down to Argyle to Thistle day at the Argyle church & the Scots had service & speaking at the old cemetery below Argyle & we stayed all day took our Dinner & Supper & stayed for the Baccalaueate sermon which was preached by Mr Dean in the U. P. church and we got home about bed time and it is a pleasant & a very hot day also. there was a big crowd there."

            Mon. Jun. 23: "In the forenoon Mr Palmer took Ned down to West Hebron & got him shawd and James & John C helped his boys to cultivate corn & potatoes up in the orchard & in the afternoon they helped him also. at night we all went down to West Hebron in the car and it is a nice pleasant day"

            Tues. Jun. 24: "In the forenoon Mr Palmer & the boys cultivated corn in the field cross from the barn & in the afternoon they chored around and Hazel & Marjory went down to Argyle & helped to decorate the church and at night we all went down to Argyle at the U. P. church at Commencement Exercises & the church was full and it is a nice pleasant day & warm too"

            Wed. Jun. 25: "We had a nice rain but cleared off about night in the morning the girls started to a picnic for the school but did'nt go any father than Argyle & came back home we all stayed around the house   it was a good rain"

            Thur. Jun. 26: "In the morning we telephoned down & had Edd & Marion come up & Mr Palmers folks help us to tighten up the whoops on the Silo the big one & to tigh the Silo to the barn with guy wire & we got it fastened in pretty good shape and it took us all day and it is a nice pleasant day & warm too. I went over to the barn & showed them how I wanted it done and we got a good job done I think Hazel & Marjory went to the school picnic at Lake Sunny side up above Glens Falls & got back before night awhile"

            Fri. Jun. 27: "In the forenoon Hazel went to a nother school picnic up at Lake St Catherine & the boys & Mr Palmer fixed some fence up on top of the hill between the fallows & the Meadow on top of the hill above the house & in the afternoon they all went down in the old cow pasture & round Hill along Jim Lants Lien & cut out posts & tore down the rail fence & sat the posts & put up some new wire fence & I went down went down with them but could'nt do any thing. and it is a nice pleasant day clear & warm too"

            Sat. Jun. 28: "In the forenoon the boys helped Mr Palmer to cultivate in the field cross from the barn and in the afternoon we all went up to Comstocks to see a game of ball & we went by Hudson Falls & came back by Granville & Mr Palmer went with us & we got home about chore time & it is a nice pleasant day & warm too."

            Sun. Jun. 29: "We all went to church and we heard a sermon by Mr. McEachron & we stayed for sunday school and it is a nice day only a few dry weather showers it did'nt rain much but was rather cloudy and at night the young folks went over to the church to a young peoples meeting & it is getting pretty dry & it was cooler at night wind was in the West."

            Mon. Jun. 30: "In the forenoon the boys helped Mr. Palmer to cultivate corn in the field cross from the barn and in the afternoon he went away some place & the boys cultivated corn & potatoes up in the orchard and it is a nice day some cloudy. the girls went after strawberries up on top of the hill in the meadow above the Horse pasture. Mr Palmer came home about & Lewis Matteson brought home a car for him at night the boys took the 3 seater down to the other place."

            Tues. Jul. 1: "In the forenoon the boys helped Mr Palmer to cultivated corn down above his house & at night Edd & Marion brought up the babe & Mother kept her & they all went down to West Hebron to a Grange dance and it is a nice day clear & warm"

            Wed. Jul. 2: "In the forenoon the boys piled wood in the wood shed Mr Palmer is exercising his Auto and in the afternoon the girls went up to Belcher to John Gibsons to take Music Lessons from his girl and it is a nice warm day & pleasant. the boys put in some wood and it is warmer but we need rain very bad."

            Thur. Jul. 3: "In the forenoon the  boys helped Mr. Palmer to fix fence up along the orchard & Marion & the babe came up & the young folks all but Mary E went down to the MacAuly place to pick berries. & came up at noon & in the afternoon they picked some berries down in the Meadow and My Dr came to day. & Mary E. & Florence went down home with Marion & the babe to stay all night and it is a nice pleasant day warm Mr Palmer is breaking in his car."

            Fri. Jul. 4: "In the forenoon the boys helped Mr Palmer to cultivate corn cross from the barn & came over & cultivated the Orchard one way & in the afternoon Mr Palmer took his car over to Deflars to get the valves ground and it keeps cloudy & looks like rain and we all went down to       "

            Sat. Jul. 5: "In the forenoon the boys helped Mr Palmer to cultivate corn and in the afternoon we all went to church and we heard a sermon by Dr Turnbull and then we went down to Marions & got the babe & then we all went out to Glens Falls to get Hazels Dress but did'nt get it and it was most night when we got home. & it is a nice day & very Hot & dry also & dusty"

            Sun. Jul. 6: "We all went to church & Edd & Marion was there & took the babe home and we heard a sermon by Dr Turnbull & it was sacrament & it is a nice pleasant day warm & dry at night the young folks went over to the church to the young peoples meeting."

            Mon. Jul. 7: "In the forenoon the boys helped Mr Palmer to cultivate corn & in the afternoon and at night the boys put in most of the wood & it came on rain & rained a good shower it was needed very bad"

            Tues. Jul. 8 : The boys cultivated in the forenoon for Mr Palmer and in the afternoon we had a shower it is raining some now the ground is getting wet now it is good for oats & in fact for everything."

            Wed. Jul. 9: "the girls went up to Belcher for their Music lessons & I rode up to John McKernons & lisened to the radio on the Democratic Convention at new York and came back with the girls & James went also & it is a nice day Mr Palmer got out the mowing Machine & he went up to Hartford in the afternoon to get a shoe fixed for the Osborne Machine and it is a warm day."

            Thur. Jul. 10: "In the forenoon Mr Palmer began mowing back of the barn clover & it sprinkled some & in the afternoon we all went down to Argyle to Chautauqua and it is a nice day & at night we all went back again"

            Fri. Jul. 11: "In the forenoon Mr Palmer mowed the rest of the piece by the corn & mowed down in the side hill in the upper fallow and in the afternoon they raked all the clover Hay & bunched it up and we all went down to Argyle to Chautaugua & when we got home the boys bunched up the hay or helped too and at night we all went back again to Argyle to Chautauqua & it is a good hay day and it cleared of nice"

            Sat. Jul. 12: "In the forenoon James & John C helped Mr Palmer to draw in clover hay in the field back of the barn & in the afternoon James helped to draw in hay & the rest of us all went down to Argyle to Chautauqua & at night we all went back again & James went also. and it is a nice day a good hay day they got the hay all in & Mr Palmers folks went down to and this rounds up the Chautauqua for this year"

            Sun. Jul. 13: "We all went to church & we heard a sermon by Mr. McEachron and we stayed for Sunday school & we had a Thunder shower in time of church & we had a nice rain quite a Thunder Shower & when we got home we took the boys over home at Adamsville & stayed for dinner & Edd & Marion & the babe where there and it cleared off some cooler. & was a nice afternoon quite cool at night & when we got home the young people went over to church to the young peoples meeting."

            Mon. Jul. 14: "Mr Palmers folks mowed with 2 machines clover hay up on top of the hill in the upper fallow. James & John C cultivated corn in the field cross from the barn & in the afternoon Mr Palmer finished mowing up on top of the hill in the upper fallow & one of the boys raked up there"

            Tues. Jul. 15: "In the forenoon Mr Palmer & Buster went down to the lower place & mowed & James & John C & Keith cultivated the rest of the corn on the hill cross from the barn & in the afternoon they raked the rest of the hay up in the fallow & got it all drawed in and it is a good hay day & Harry & his man came over to the other place & came over here awhile & a man came to trade cars."

            Wed. Jul. 16: "In the forenoon Keith, James & John C cultivated the rest of the corn on the hill back of the barn & Mr Palmer & Buster went down to the other place & mowed & in the after the boys went down & began cultivating the potatoes & a shower came up & they left the horses down there & came home & the potatoes look pretty good only small."

            Thur. Jul. 17: "It rained a lot last night & in the forenoon and Mr Palmer fixed the Horse car track in the barn that he broke the other day & chored around & our boys sorted & sprouted the old potatoes over that we had in the cellar and it is cooler & rained quite a lot. the rain has helped the crops & oats also."

            Fri. Jul. 18: "In the forenoon Mr Palmer mowed the rest of the field below the road on the lower place & the boys cultivated potatoes  & the girls went over to Harrys & picked berries & in the afternoon Hazel took Charley McNeil & us out to Glens Falls to see a Doctor & when he got through with Charley it was time to come home so I did'nt get Doctored and it is a nice pleasant day we got home before night & at night we went over to a social at the church. & it is a nice pleasant day good hay weather"

            Sat. Jul. 19: "In the forenoon Mr Palmer & the boys worked at the hay all day & they got the field below the road all in & straightened up & it is a good hay day and at night we all went down to West Hebron it is a good clear & some windy a Band Concert was held at West Hebron"

            Sun. Jul. 20: "Mr Palmers folks all went over to Wilton & the boys done the milking at night & we all went to church & Earl & Harold came home with us last night & they went to church with us and when we got home we all took some things down to the McAuleys place & had a picnic we eat our dinner down there we had a Birthday picnic for Florence  5 years old Harry folks came over & Marion & Edd & the babe was up here they went to church"

            Mon. July. 21: "Mr Palmer & the boys went down to the McAuley place & mowed & cultivated potatoes & the girls & Marion came up & they all went over to Harrys place & picked berries for them & in the afternoon the boys helped Mr Palmer to hay & cultivate potatoes on the lower place & Hazel took Mother & I & Charley McNeil & his wife out to Glens Falls to see a Dr out there & I had a treatment cost me $2.00 & we got home early and it is a nice pleasant day. warm"

            Tues. Jul. 22: "The boys helped Mr Palmer all day to hay & cultivating potatoes and the women folks washed to day and it is a good wash day windy & warm and a good hay day. and it got cloudy & began & rained a little about night windy."

            Wed. Jul. 23: "Mr Palmer & the boys worked down on the lower place at the hay & cultivating and in the afternoon Hazel took Mother & I out to Glens Falls to see the Dr Mulachy he gave me a treatment & Charley McNeil & his wife rode out with us to see the Dr & Mother had a treatment for her knees. & we got home before night. It is a good hay day."

            Thur. Jul. 24: "The boys helped at the hay & cultivating down on the lower place and the girls all went up to Belcher to take their Music lessons and it is a nice pleasant day good hay weather.  at night we all went down to Marions & it came on a shower Thunder shower it rained quite a lot after we got home."    

            Fri. Jul. 25: "it was cloudy in the forenoon & rained last night & in the afternoon Hazel took us out to Glens Falls James & John C went out with us & went to the picture show Mother & I had a treatment  Charley did'nt go to day we got home about night & it was a pretty good hay day Mr. Palmer got his car repaired & they got the hay in the field where the creek runs in & got some mowed above the road"

            Sat. Jul. 26: "We all went to the Automobile Picnic down to Hedges pond & had a good time & there was a crowd there we came home by Salem & it rained a shower on us we ate our supper below West Hebron & then went back to Salem to the band concert & it was quite cool after the rain we got home rather late. It rained some here Mr Palmer got their hay all in I think it is a nice day hot till the rain came on."

            Sun. Jul. 27: "We all went to church and we heard a sermon by Dr Haines & we stayed for sunday school & at night we all went down to union Meeting at the Methodist church  I stayed with Mary till meeting was out"

            Mon. Jul. 28: "James helped Mr Palmer to mow down in the orchard all day & they got it all mowed swail and all & in the afternoon we went out to Glens Falls & I had a treatment but Mother did not & Charley McNeil & his wife went with us & Libby McNeil came home with us & we got home early at night & it is a nice hay day & warm too."

            Tues. Jul. 29: "In the forenoon Hazel took James & John C down to West Hebron to help Mary to moove her wood down & she came right back & went down after them before noon after them & they helped Mr Palmer in the afternoon they drawed hay and it is a nice pleasant day day"

            Wed. Jul. 30: "The boys helped Mr Palmer all day to draw in hay and they got it all in but 1 load and it is a nice day looked like rain. about night it rained a little after dark but not much and the girls went up to Belcher to John Gibsons to take their Music lessons and it is a warm day."

            Thur. Jul. 31: "In the forenoon Mr Palmer mowed with both teams up on top of the hill back of the barn James mowed for him and in the afternoon Hazel took Mother & I & Charley McNeil & his wife out to Glens Falls to see the Doctor and the boys helped Mr Palmer & we got home about dark & Mother had a treatment to day."

            Fri. Aug. 1: "In the forenoon Mr Palmer mowed the lower fallow & James helped & in the afternoon both boys helped him to draw hay from on top of the hill back of the barn and it is a nice pleasant day good hay weather"

            Sat. Aug. 2: "In the forenoon the boys helped Mr Palmer part of the time & in the afternoon the children all went out to Glens Falls with us and Charley did'nt go to day & Mother & I had a treatment each of us to day and it is a nice day cool nights Mr Palmer got his hay all in that he had down it was most night when we got home and is a good hay day.

            Sun. Aug. 3: "There was no church at our church to day and after dinner we all went down to Marions & stayed till most night and it is a nice day cool air. Mr Palmers folks took a ride to day."

            Mon. Aug. 4: "In the forenoon the boys helped Mr Palmer to shovel out potatoes down at the lower place and in the afternoon they did the same thing and Hazel took Mother & I out to Glens Falls to see the Dr. we both had a treatment and Charley didnt go to day."

            Tues. Aug. 5: "In the forenoon the boys helped Mr Palmer to shovel out Potatoes at the lower place & they got done & in the afternoon James helped Mr Palmer to mow hay above the lower place and it looked some like rain about night & did some."

            Wed. Aug. 6: "The Men mowed part of the day James helped in the forenoon and it rained in the afternoon some but not very hard. John C was about sick last night but is better to day."

            Thur. Aug. 7: "In the forenoon James helped Mr Palmer to mow with Machine up in the big side hill and in the afternoon Hazel took us out to Glens Falls Charley & his wife got off at Hudson Falls to see about his teeth & Mother & I had a treatment each of us In the afternoon our boys did'nt do much we had a Thunder shower after noon & rained quite a lot."

            Fri. Aug. 8: "In the morning Marion was sick & gave birth to a boy baby & Hazel took Mother down to Marions & she stayed all day at night Hazel took us all down to see Marion & the babe they seem to be getting along very well I stayed all night & Mother did too the rest all came home the boys helped Mr Palmer to draw in hay nearly all day. it cleared of to be a good hay day."

            Sat. Aug. 9: "In the forenoon Mother & I was at Marions she feels very good & at noon Hazel brought Charley & his wife down & took Mother & I out to Glens Falls to the Dr. we both had a treatment and we came back by Edds & both stayed all night the rest of the folks came home & Charley & his wife   Marion is getting along very well & the babe also. The boys helped Mr. Palmer to draw in hay to-day. It is a nice day"

            Sun. Aug. 10: "about noon the children all came down to Marions and stayed awhile & then we all came home Edd took our car & went over to West Hebron & got Mrs. Guthrie to come over & take care of Marion. our folks didnt go to church to day & it is a nice day."

            Mon. Aug. 11: "Mother & I went out to Glens Falls Hazel took us & Charley & his wife we came back by Edds & stayed all night Mother & I she is getting along nicely the boys helped Mr. Palmer to fix fence & drive the young cattle down to the lower place it is a nice day some cloudy."

            Tues. Aug. 12: "In the morning it was raining & it was wet & cloudy till noon & afternoon Hazel & the rest came down after Mother & I we came home Marion is getting along very well at night Harry & his folks came over & at night we all went down to the school house to a Picture show it is quite cool at night. but cleared off the boys did'nt go much to day."

            Wed. Aug. 13: "Our Telephone is out of order so in the morning the children drove the car down to Mr Thomas Cuthberts to find out how Marion is getting on she is about the same and the boys helped Mr Palmer."

            Thur. Aug. 14: "In the forenoon the girls went up to John Gibson to take music lessons & the boys helped Mr Palmer to work with hay and it is a nice day. I sat around."

            Fri. Aug. 15: "The boys helped Mr Palmer to draw in oats all day and in the afternoon Hazel took Mother & I out to Glens Falls we both had a treatment & Charley McNeil & his wife went along and we got home about night & we went down & seen Marion she is getting along very well Helen went with us."

            Sat. Aug. 16: "In the morning we all got ready & went to the McIntyre Picnic it was at Hedges pond there was a lot there 110 about and we got home about night & it was a peach of a day Mr Palmers folks drawed in the rest of the oats they got them all in it is cool at night."

            Sun. Aug. 17: "There was no service at our church and after dinner we all went down to see how Marion is getting along she is getting very well we took Helen down & left her with Marion and it is a cloudy & rainy day but cleared off at night & is cool too."

            Mon. Aug. 18: "In the forenoon the boys helped Mr Palmer with the hay. In the afternoon Hazel took Mother & I out to Glens Falls to the Doctor Mother had noting done but I did and the boys helped Mr Palmer and we got home early and it is a nice day but cool"

            Tues. Aug.  19: "In the morning we all went out to the Fair and it is a good day but cool Mr Palmer  Mr Palmer got his oats all in up on Will Mahaffys field and we got home about night & we went down to see Marion she is getting along very well"

            Wed. Aug. 20: "We did'nt go to the Fair to day but Mr Palmers folks all went to the Fair & we watched his cows for him & milked for them at night and it is a cloudy day & we had a Thunder shower in the afternoon & it rained quite a lot Mr Palmers folks stayed at night for the Fire works."

            Thur. Aug. 21: "In the morning we all got ready & went out to the Fair & we took Marion with us & we stayed for the night Fire works & did'nt get home very early Mr Palmers folks worked at the hay & got it all in that was down and it is a good hay day."

            Fri. Aug. 22: "In the morning we all got ready & went out to the Fair and Hazel took Mother & I up to Glens Falls to see the Dr She had nothing done but I did and we came home early to day and Mr Palmers folks worked at the hay to day It is a good hay day."

            Sat. Aug. 23: "In the Morning we all got ready & went out to the Fair   Hazel took Mother & I up to Glens Falls to see the Dr. I had a treatment but Mother did not and when we got back we all stayed for the Fire works and it is a nice day Mr Palmers folks got out some posts for fence Marjory went home with Edd & Mary from the Fair."

            Sun. Aug. 24: "There is no church at our church to day so we didnt go to any other church & after dinner we all went down to Marions the babe is not getting along very well  she is getting along very well & we got home about night and it is a nice pleasant day & warmer."

            Mon. Aug. 25: "In the forenoon it rained most of the time & in the afternoon Hazel took Mother & I out to Glens Falls in the car to have a treatment both of us. & James went along also and when we came home we came back by Marions  The babe is better to day they think & it looked like clearing off it did'nt rain much in the afternoon."

            Tues. Aug. 26: "In the forenoon the boys took King down to West Hebron to get shawd & Mr Palmers folks fixed fence around the field back of the barn.  In the afternoon Harrys folks came over here & I went down to Salem with him & got back before night awhile they stayed till after night awhile and it is a nice day only cloudy & cool air too."

            Wed. Aug. 27: "In the forenoon Mr Palmer fixed fence back of the barn and the boys helped & in the afternoon Hazel took James & I out to Glens Falls I had a treatment she Mother did not go to day James helped me up the stairs and it is a nice day some cloudy"

            Thur. Aug. 28: "the threshers Rob Bain came here & threshed in the afternoon they did not get done quite James Lant & Clarence came over to help & our boys helped also. and it is a nice day."

            Fri. Aug. 29: "the boys helped to thresh & they got done before noon and in the afternoon Mr Palmers & boys & James went over & helped Ralph McGeoch to thresh at Harrys they threshed out in the field and Hazel took Mother & I out to Glens Falls we both had a treatment & Florence went also & we got a roll of wire fence and it is a nice pleasant day & warm too"

            Sat. Aug. 30: "In the morning we all got ready & went down to the 'Oaks' to the Farmers picnic & had a good time 2 ball games & a Band and we got home early and the girls took Dorothy Todd down home at Argyle and it is a nice pleasant day & warm too Mr Palmers folks mowed & drawed in hay from the lower place and they got done down there"

            Sun. Aug. 31: "Hazel, Marjory, Mary E. James, John C went to church & heard a sermon by Mr. McEachron & they stayed for Sunday school & Mother, Oliver, Florence & I stayed at home & when they came home we all went up to Granville to see Mr. Strong about getting Harolds Grave stone and it is a nice warm day very Hot. Florence is better to day."

            Mon. Sept. 1: "The boys helped Mr Palmer to fix fence back of the barn down along the road & in the afternoon Hazel took Mother & I out to Glens Falls   we went early & both had a treatment & Charley McNeil & his wife went also and it is a nice pleasant day warm too."

            Tues. Sept. 2: "Hazel & Marjory started going to school in the car to Argyle & Thelma went with them and the school began to day at the Island & the rest went down here but Florence and it is a nice day only cooler & cloudy & rained a little the Argyle school girls came home at noon."

            Wed. Sept. 3: "Hazel & Marjory & Thelma went to school to Argyle in the car & the other children went to the Dist school but Florence she did'nt go and Mr Palmer folks went to Fort Edward but Keith he chored around he cut the corn & drawed it up for the cows and it is a nice day only cool at night we all went down to Marions awhile the children & her are getting along very well."

            Thur. Sept. 4: "The children all went to school to day it was Florence's first day at school she liked it very well it was pretty lonesome for Mother & I Mr Palmer & Keith worked at their car to day I believe it is a nice pleasant day cool nights & pleasant day time & warm too"

            Fri. Sept. 5: "The children all went to school but Florence she was sick I sat around the house all day the school children down at the Dist school got home early the other children did'nt get home very early"

            Sat. Sept. 6: "The boys chored around and in the afternoon Hazel took Mother & I out to Glens Falls to see the Dr we both had a treatment & Florence went along also. and we got home good season & it is a very windy day cool nights"

Sept. 7: "We all went to church and we heard a sermon by Mr McEachron and we stayed for sunday school and after we had dinner we all went in the car & went down to the Cemetery & put Flowers on Harold, Roscoe & Ruby & Howards graves and stayed awhile & came back home & we found Marion & Edd & Helen here and it is a nice pleasant day    Mr Palmers folks was away someplace."

            Mon. Sept. 8: "In the morning the children all went to school to day Mr Palmers folks picked some apples & chored around. I helped Mother or tired to help I think I am gaining some but very slow."

Sept. 9: "The children but Florence went to school & Hazel came home from school & took me & Mother & Florence out to Glens Falls to see the Dr we both had treatments and Hazel went over to Orries & got her & she came back to the Drs & Orrie came home with us & we stoped at Argyle & got Marjory & Thelma and we had a big rain it rained on us all the way out & when we was out there a Heavy Thunder shower & lots of rain we got home before dark. terrible muddy roads."

            Wed. Sept. 10: "The children all went to school to day and in the afternoon Harry Smith brought some wire fence for me & himself & Mr Palmer & Keith helped him to put up some wire fence up on the hill back of the barn along the woods lien fence & they got it strung up and it is a nice day some cloudy pretty nasty roads now:

Sept. 11: "The children all went to school to day and Mr Palmer went out to Hudson Falls to day in the afternoon in the forenoon he cleaned out the cow stable & milk house as the Inspectors are due soon we heard and is a very nice day only cloudy & cool nights pretty muddy roads yet."

            Thur. Sept. 18: "In the morning Hazel took Mother & I & Florence down to Marions on their way to school and Edd & I went down to Greenwich & it is a nice pleasant day we came home with the school girls and it is a nice day the babe is pretty good Helen came home with us"

            Fri. Sept. 19: "The children all went to school and Mr Palmer is digging potatoes to take away and it is a nice pleasant day & warm too"

            Sat. Sept. 20: "Hazel & James took me out to Glens Falls to see the Dr Mother did'nt go to day and we got home early & Mr Palmer took a load of potatoes out to Hudson Falls at $1.ºº per bu and it is a nice day only rather cloudy."

Sept. 21: "In the morning Edd & Marion brought the baby up here & went to church with our folks & Mother & I stayed at home & kept the babe and at night Edd went home & Marion is going to stay up here awhile with the babe & Helen and the young folks went to church and it is a nice day"

            Mon. Sept. 22: "The children all went to school and in the afternoon Harry & the boys came over here he sat up the ensilage cutter & it came on rain & at night Edd came up & brought up some milk for the babe & he stayed all night and it rained  a lot."

Sept. 23: "In the morning Edd took the girls down to Argyle to school and the other scholars went to school at the Island and Mr Palmers folks all cut corn. and in the afternoon Edd took me out to see the Dr at Glens Falls & Marion & Helen went too & Mother stayed at home & kept the babe"

Sept. 24: "In the forenoon Mr Palmers folks cut corn & Edd brought his team & wagon up to draw corn & he helped all day & James helped to fill in the afternoon and it is a nice day but in the morning we had a White Frost Edd stayed all night Harry came over at noon & cut the ensilage."

            Thur. Sept. 25: "In the forenoon Mr Palmer & his gang cut corn for the Silo and in the after-noon Harry came over & filled the Silo & James & John C helped them to fill the Silo Harry did'nt get quite through. The girls went to school & Oliver and it is a nice pleasant day"

Sept 26: "In the forenoon Mr Palmer folks cut corn and got it all cut and in the afternoon Harry came over & cut corn fodder & James & John C helped them & they got most done & they got it all cut of the field up to the Silo and the rest all went to school and it is a nice pleasant & warm day"

            Sat. Sept. 27: "In the forenoon before noon a little Harry got over here & cut the rest of the corn & the big Silo was about full & James helped them & in the afternoon Edd came up & got a load of Apples & took them out to Fort Edward & James went with him & Hazel took Mother & I out to Glens Falls to the Dr we both had a treatment & the rest went along and we did'nt get home very early. but it is a nice day & warmer."

Sept. 28: "We all went to church and we heard a sermon by Mr Ralston of West Hebron Our minister and he exchanged pulpits & Edd, Marion & James were there also they came back by our house & got dinner James stayed here & in the afternoon we all went down to the Cemetery & took some flowers & at night the young people went over to church & it is a beautiful day clear & warm"

            Mon. Sept. 29: "The children all went to school and it is a cloudy day. Mother washed to day In the afternoon it rained alot and it is a nasty day but she got the most of her clothes down not very cold"

            Tues. Sept. 30: "In the forenoon it rained & was cloudy & after dinner Edd & Marion came up & brought the children up & Marion & the children stayed & Edd loaded up a load of apples & took them out to Fort Edward & got back about dark & stayed all night & it rained a lot & hard too"

            Wed. Oct. 1: "It cleared of in the morning & was cold & very windy Mother & I went down with the girls to school we stayed till noon with Mrs McDougall & at noon Hazel got excused from school & took us out to Glens Falls & got a treatment I did from the Dr. & it is a nice day only cold & windy and the other girls rode home with us and it was dark when we got home it was a cold day & at night also."

            Thur. Oct. 2: "It was warmer in the morning and it was clear & warmer & is a nice day the children all went to school James did'nt feel very well to day . and Mr Palmer went away in the forenoon & the boys dug some potatoes for us early ones and it is a peach of a day"

            Fri. Oct. 3: "The school children all went to school but James he was about sick and it is a nice pleasant day warm the roads are all drying up again Mr Palmer picked some apples & dug potatoes & put them in the House cellar"

            Sat. Oct. 4: "In the forenoon we all went out to Glens Falls I went to the Doctors & in the afternoon we see a game of Ball played on a Playagraph board at the Falls it was the World Series Senators & Giants the Giants won to day 4 to 3 there was a crowd there Edd & Marion & Helen was out & Harry was also and we got home about dark and it was a nice pleasant & warm day. Mr Palmer was out with potatoes & apples also."

            Sun. Oct. 5: "Our folks went to church all but Mother, Florence & I we stayed at home & kept the babe for Marion Her & Edd came up & went to our ch & Helen also. & they came back this way & got dinner & after dinner Edd took the boys & I out to Glens Falls to hear about the game of ball & the Playagraph work the Senators & Giants the Giants got beat to day 4 to 3. a very close game we got back before dark and it was a close game the young people went over to church at night."

            Mon. Oct. 6: "The children all went to school and Mother washed to day and Mr Palmer & the boys picked apples most all day and it is some cloudy but turned out to be a nice day"

            Tues. Oct. 7: "In the morning I went down to Argyle with the school girls & Edd came up to Argyle & took the car and me out to Glens Falls he got the car repaired & I went to the Dr to get a treatment It rained some most of the day out there we did'nt get home very early we watched the Playagraph of the World Series and Edd went home from Argyle & Hazel came home with me from Argyle Marjory was sick & did'nt go to school the Dr was up to see her."

            Wed. Oct. 8: "The children all went to school & Mr Palmers folks picked cider apples & in the afternoon I walked up to Edd Pollocks & he & I listened on his Radio to the game of ball against the Giants against Senators and it was good too. James & John C came up after me and it is a nice day cool nights. Marjory was some better today but she did'nt go to school"

            Thur. Oct. 9: "The children all but Marjory went to school and Mr Palmers folks all picked cider apples and in the afternoon I walked up to Edd Pollocks & he & I listened on the Radio to the game of ball between the Giants & Senators and James & John C came up after me at night. It is cloudy & windy also.

Oct. 10: "The children all went to school and Mr Palmers folks worked at the apples to day and in the afternoon I walked up to Edmund Pollocks & he & I listened to the Radio the Giants & Senators playing ball the Senators won or come out ahead and it is a nice day at night James, Oliver & Florence & John C came up after me they drove King at night Marion & Edd brought     "

Oct. 11: "In the forenoon Howard Cline came up here & brought a man & his Family to look over Farm to buy same but we did'nt by and in the afternoon Hazel took Mother & I out to Glens Falls and I had a treatment and Marjory & Mary E. kept the rest of the children home and it is a nice pleasant day we took the good wagon wheel out to get a new tire rubber put on"

            Sun. Oct. 12: "We all went to church and took Helen we heard a sermon by Mr McEachron & we stayed for Sunday school and after dinner we took Helen down home and came back by the Cemetery & it was cold before we got home and it is a nice day only cool"

            Fri. Oct. 17: "The boys helped Mr Palmer all day down on the other place. and Hazel & Marjory went to school and at night we all went down to Argyle to a Fair held in the Grange Hall for the school and a lot was there and all had a good time."

Oct. 18: "In the forenoon the boys helped Mr Palmer with the potatoes and in the afternoon Mr Palmer & Keith went out to Hudson Falls & the other fellows did not work and Hazel took Mother & I out to Glens  Falls I had a treatment and it is a cloudy day rained a little and we got home after dark a little"

Oct. 19: "We all went to church and we heard a sermon by Mr McEachron and we stayed for Sunday school & Edd & Marion was there also & came home by our house & got dinner & went over to Harrys from here & Mary came home with us from church & after dinner we took a ride & she went home at night when the young people went to church and it is a nice pleasant day"

            Mon. Oct. 20: "The boys helped Mr Palmer to dig & pick potatoes all day and it is a cold and windy day Hazel & Marjory went to school"

            Tues. Oct. 21: "The boys went down to Edd's & helped him to dig potatoes Mr Palmer helped Edd for him helping to fill Silo. Mother & I & Oliver rode down with the school girls & Hazel came down & got Mother & I & we went out to Glens Falls to see the Dr I had a treatment &7 we went back to Marions & Mr Palmers folks had gone home we stayed for supper & we all went back to Argyle to a Political meeting & then we all came home and it is a cold raw & windy day   Oliver helped with the potatoes in the afternoon."

            Wed. Oct. 22: "It was quite cold in the morning the boys helped Mr Palmer to dig potatoes all day and they are getting along pretty well now. The girls went to school at Argyle"

            Thur. Oct. 23: "The boys helped Mr Palmer to dig Potatoes and they got through to day and it is a nice day only rather cool they claimed they had about 800 bu and it is a pleasant day Hazel & Marjory went to school"

            Fri. Oct. 24: "Mr Palmer chored around & picked a few pears Keith went up to Mr Gilchrists to dig potatoes and in the afternoon the boys went down to Argyle to get the Truck wagon repaired and got back after dark and Hazel & Marjory went to school."

Oct. 25: "In the forenoon the boys chored around and in the afternoon they all went down to Argyle & got the Wagon repaired & tire sat at Bert Mixs & the girls all went out to Glens Falls with us & I had a treatment & Ella Moore went with us and it is a nice day we got home about dark"

Oct. 26: "The boys & girls all but Florence went to church & Edd & Marion came up & left the babe with Mother & I & they went over to our church and after dinner Edd & Marion went home & Mary came home from church & we all went over to Harrys & stayed till night and it is a nice day warm for the time of year."

            Sun. Nov. 2: "We all went to church and we heard a sermon by Mr McEachron and we stayed for sunday school & it is cooler to day we stayed at home in the afternoon the young folks went to church at night it is quite cold at night & looks like snow."

            Mon. Nov. 3: "It is quite cold in the morning it frooze quite hard The children all went to school Mr Palmers folks picked apples it is a nice pleasant day when it cleared off but is a cool day."

            Tues. Nov. 4: "It is Election day In the morning James took the girls to school at Argyle I went with him & then we came back home & after dinner James took us all down to Argyle & Marion took us out to Glens Falls James stayed to Argyle & went to school & Florence did too and I had a treatment & when we came back to Argyle Edd took Marion & Helen home & we all stayed at the M. E. Church for a chicken supper and it was a little late when we got home we Republicans lost our governor but we got one president Coolidge & Daves. It is a nice day."

            Wed. Nov. 5: "The children all went to school to day and Mr Palmers folks finished picking apples and he is waiting on his wife she tired herself out riding in a Ford car poor thing. It is a nice day again but cool in the morning."

            Thur. Nov. 6: "The children all went to school Mr Palmers folks are not doing much but staying in the house they had ought to be drawing the manure out of the barn yard it is a beautiful day and fine weather."

Nov. 12: "It is some cloudy & rained a little not much & it cleared or nice Keith & the other boy drawed some manure  up in the back field and it is a nice day the Telephone men are resetting the poles in places and the children all went to school    Mr Palmer is waiting on his wife."

            Fri. Nov. 14: "The school children all went to school and it is a nice pleasant day warm &  pleasant Mr Palmers folks chored around and there was a Basket ball game at night at Argyle but our folks did'nt go it was a nice night."

Nov. 15: "In the morning Hazel took James & I out to Glens Falls I had a treatment & we got home at noon & in the afternoon we all went over to the church & we heard a sermon by Mr. Lydall of Cambridge and at night we all went down to Argyle to a Basket Ball game & it got colder it is a nice pleasant day but colder. Mr Palmers folks drawed out manure."

            Sun. Nov. 16: "We all went to church & heard a sermon by Mr. McEachron & it was sacrament sabbath. and it snowed a little & rained some and after dinner we went down to Marions & stayed till dark & them came home & the young folks went over to church the young peoples meeting it got real cold & snowed some & it was real cold & was windy & cold they got home early it stormed like fury & got cold as winter."

            Mon. Nov. 17: "The children all went to school day ever though it is a windy & cold day Mr Palmers went down to the other place & got the cattle from there the girls drew off the water from the car at night  "

            Tues. Nov. 18: "The children all went to school and at noon Hazel came up & got Mother & I & we all went out to Glens Falls. I had a treatment we took Orrie up to see the Dr. she had a treatment and we got home after dark we was rather late it was after sun down before we left the Falls and it is a nice day but very cold I had on my fine overcoat & not to warm at that."

            Wed. Nov. 19: "The children all went to school to day and it is a cold day too   Palmers folks drawed out some manure."

            Sat. Nov. 22: "We went out to Glens Falls at about noon I had a treatment and we got home rather late. and it was a rainy day it rained a lot & raised water pretty good in places."

            Sun. Nov. 23: "We did'nt go to church so we all stayed at home it rained a lot it rained most of the day it is rather cool."

            Wed. Nov. 26: "There is school to day and the children all went but there is to be a vacation till next week."

Nov. 27: "Edd & Marion & the children came up & Harry & his folks came over a visiting and had dinner and it is a nice day it looks some like snow & is rather cool Mr Palmers folks drawed out manure. Harold & Earl stayed awhile at night Hazel took Mary down home at West Hebron & James & John C drove King down to West Hebron & got Mary & brought her up here."

            Fri. Nov. 28: "There is no school to day at either school It is a nice day some cool Mr Palmers folks drawed out manure & the boys helped them."

            Sat. Nov. 29: "In the forenoon we chored around & in the afternoon Hazel & James took Mother & I out to Glens Falls I went to my old Dr & had a treatment and it began snowing before noon & kept at it all day it melted as fast as it came out to Glens Falls but a terrible night to drive a car it snowed very fast out here all afternoon   we didn't get started home till after dark James went to get an over coat the car slid in the ditch so we all got out & got up the hill down the swamp road by Kinneys"

            Sun. Nov. 30: "It cleared off last night we did'nt go to church any of us and after dinner our folks all but Mary E. Johnnie & florence & I went to George Lundys little boys funeral up above Belcher & Edd & Marion was over to our church & came back this way home it looks & acts like winter in earnest They got home before night. they put on the chains & the car went good."

            Mon. Dec. 1: "In the morning Mother & James took the girls down to Argyle to school they are staying down this week at Mr. Frank McClarathans and the Palmer girls rode down with them    I stayed here alone they got home before noon awhile & James went to school down here as the rest did also.   it looks like winter in earnest. about 10 inches of snow pretty good sleighing"

            Tues. Dec. 2: "The children all went to school to day it is a pleasant day but rather cold winter weather in earnest I set around the house most of the day"

            Wed. Dec. 3: "I was sick all day to my stomach The doctor came up in the afternoon I vomited now & then all day awful sick I was better by night James stayed at home all day   the rest of the children all went to school Mr Palmer was down to Argyle it is a very cloudy day & looks like rain all day but didn't only winter weather"

            Thur. Dec. 4: "Pleasant the children all went to school to day I am better to day the Dr was up to see me but I did'nt need him very bad  it is a nice day  Pansy cow had a calf. Mr Palmer had a load of potatoes up north to day it is good sleighing around here and Auto riding with chains on also."

            Fri. Dec. 5: "good winter weather the snow does'nt waste much either the children all went to school to day it is a nice day it looks like more snow to day & cool also."

            Sat. Dec. 6: "In the forenoon we chored around & in the afternoon Hazel took Mother, James & I out to Glens Falls and I went & seen my Dr & had a treatment. we went early & got home early then common it is a cloudy day looks like a storm."

            Sun. Dec. 7: "We all went to church an we heard a sermon by Mr. McEachron and we stayed for sunday school and it is a cloudy day it looked like a storm."

            Mon. Dec. 8: "In the morning James & Mother took Hazel & Marjory down to Argyle to school & they got back before noon & the other children went to school they have bad colds. it is a big rain the snow is thin."

            Tues. Dec. 9: "The children went to school In the forenoon Edd & Marion & the children came up & In the afternoon Edd went over to Wm Liddles Auction they Stayed till after Supper & then went home Florence came home in the afternoon. It rained a lot last night it took the snow all off & it is pretty muddy now it got colder & frooze pretty hard at night."

            Wed. Dec. 10: "Oliver & Florence did not go to school to day the rest went to school at night Edd & Marion brought up the children & left them here & they went to the Grange fair and it is a nice day only cool"

            Thur. Dec. 11: "about noon Marion & Edd came up here & I went down to Salem with him & they took the children down home & went home at night and after supper we all went down to the Grange Fair a chicken pie supper was served and it is a nice day cool at night"

            Fri. Dec. 12: "It is a nice day but cloudy the school children went to school about night James & I went down after the school girls to Argyle and it is a little rough in places but we got along all right it looks like a storm."

            Sat. Dec. 13: "It snowed some most all day and in the afternoon Hazel & James & I went out to Glens Falls to see my Dr. & we got home a little after dark and it snowed a little most all day more snow out to Glens Falls this time than around here and is quite a snow storm."

            Sun. Dec. 14: "We stayed at home to day all day & kept house it got colder & frooze quite hard last night & was icy again good sleighing around here."

            Mon. Dec. 15: "In the morning James & Mother took the school children down to school it is icy in places but they had no trouble it is quite cold & windy the roads are quite icy in places. but is quite pleasant & sun shines but is cool.  the children all went to school they have bad colds yet."

            Tues. Dec. 16: "Mother washed to day & the school children all went to school it is a cool day it is a cold day & cloudy it looks like a storm but did not."

            Wed. Dec. 17: "The school children all but Florence went to school it is very slippery & icy it rained last night & frooze as it came. their colds are some better."

            Thur. Dec. 18: "The children all went to school the girls at Argyle had a Xmas tree in the Grange Hall. The school children had a Xmas tree down to the school house we all went down Mr Palmer brought his car up here & took Mother, Florence & I all down it was terrible icy it rained some & frooze as it came it is an offle icy time"

            Fri. Dec. 19: "The children all went to school and it rained some and at night Edd & Marion took Dorthy Todd & Hazel & Marjory up to Fort Ann to play Basket ball they brought the children up here & Mother kept the children & they came home up here when the game was over & stayed all night. and it is a nasty day & very slippery going rained & frooze as it came it got colder   Florence stayed home with Helen in the afternoon."

            Sat. Dec. 20: "It is colder and very icy & slipery for cars & horses also   2 boys got stuck up here last night also   we did'nt do much but sit around & visit it is a bad time for cars"

            Sun. Dec. 21: "We all stayed at home & kept house in the afternoon about night Edd & Marion started or tired to start for home got the car out & it turned around at the top of the hill & put the car in the barn & came back & all stayed all night it is quite cold too."

            Mon. Dec. 22: "Edd & Marion started for home in the afternoon & got home alright. and it is a nice day only very cold  Mr Palmer folks chored around."

            Tues. Dec. 23: "Mother washed in the forenoon and in the afternoon Mother, Hazel & Marjory & James went out to Fort Edward & found Santa Clause. & got home about night & found the road very good going but they got around very good"

            Wed. Dec. 24: "No school. We all stayed at home it snowed most of the day it covered up the ice 4 or 5 inches I guess."

            Thur. Dec. 25: "In the forenoon when we got ready we all went over to Harrys to a Xmas dinner we got there after noon a little we went down to Argyle & up to Hudson Falls and it is fine sleighing very good wheeling also snow is about 4 inches I guess we got home about dark the roads were drifted in places we had a little trouble in one place James stayed over at Harrys is it a nice day cool but   "

            Fri. Dec. 26: "It is a nice pleasant day but quite cold good winter weather. In the forenoon we chored around & got the car started the car."

            Sat. Dec. 27: "In the forenoon we chored around & Mr Palmers folks cut some wood & drawed it to the house and in the afternoon Mother, Hazel & I went out to Glens Falls I went to the Doctor & had a treatment & after we got home we got supper & went to a Basket Ball game at Argyle & by that time it was getting colder fast. but the car did'nt freeze just the same"

            Sun. Dec. 28: "We all stayed at home & kept house it was cold & a good winters day Edd & Marion was coming up but did not and it is good sleighing no ice cut around here but is thick enough to cut in places."

            Mon. Dec. 29: "The Island school was in session to day the youngsters all went it is cold winter weather in earnest no school at Argyle to day or this week. fine going good sleighing. Mr Palmer is cutting & drawing his wood he has to draw water for the cattle now"

            Tues. Dec. 30: "In the afternoon we all but the Dist school children went down to West Hebron & made Mary & Everetts folks a visit and it is a nice day good wheeling & sleighing also. but good winter weather. the school children went to school to day"

            Wed. Dec. 31: "We chored & sat around in the forenoon & in the forenoon we got ready as soon as we could & went out to Glens Falls & Marjory went with us & I seen the Doctor and had a treatment and we took the car in the Garage to be repaired & had to wait a long time 1½ H  we got home about sun down the car was boiling hot and the rest of the folks got ready & we all went up to Mr Theodore Gilchirsts & spent the Evening & had Supper & had a good visited we almost watched the old year out & the new one in   it was cold too. we have come to the close of a nother year 1924 is gone but 1295 is ushered in all but me enjoying good health  Marion & Edd & Helen was up to Mr Gilchirsts also. Mr Palmer has worked our farm the past year  I have been Doctoring all summer with a Massauer  have got some help."
